You will register using your email and create a password. Once registered, you will also fill out a short profile questionnaire with information such as your name, address and date of birth. Complete Toluna surveys
Answering surveys is the main way to make money with this side business. To access the available Toluna surveys, go to the navigation menu at the top of the site, go to “Surveys” and click on “Survey Center”.
The great thing is that Toluna offers you two different surveys. The first type of survey takes less than 10 minutes, while the second type takes more than 10 minutes. This flexibility means you can use Toluna to make extra money even if you only have a few minutes, but if you have more time, longer surveys are still available.
The first survey we tried lasted 5 minutes and focused on which types of ads we trust. Some surveys are reimbursed at $0.25 to $1, but you can find some that will earn you $1 to $2, or even more if you’re lucky. Toluna asks for your qualifications before each survey, so you will spend some time answering these questions and may end up not being allowed to take the actual survey, we consider this a disadvantage.
Answers to sponsored surveys
Toluna polls are basically short polls that the whole community can answer to earn bonus points. Polls usually have only a few questions and pay only a few points, so you earn much less than with regular polls.
Each sponsored survey earns you 15 points on the Toluna platform, while the average survey earns you approximately 3,000 points.

Toluna has a “Profile Surveys” section where it asks you questions based on your personal specifications.
You get 100 points for each section you complete and there are 12 different sections available. It’s a pretty easy 1,200 points and completing your profile will unlock more survey options, so you’ll earn more money overall.
Winning competitions
Toluna runs small competitions on its platform where users can occasionally earn some extra points. The contests are fairly tough and are mostly based on educated guesses (which is fair for the most part).
If you win, you can earn 1,000 points or more depending on the size of the contest and the criteria.
To qualify for the contest, you usually have to post your guess or start some sort of discussion about the answer. There is usually more than one winner, but points are not shared if you win.
Refer friends
No survey site is complete without a referral program. As we mentioned above, Toluna has one too.
For every person you refer to Toluna, you earn 500 points. You can only refer 10 people per month as part of Toluna’s referral program.
It’s not the best referral program and a lot of survey sites have $5 and $10 bonuses for new members. But it’s nice that Toluna offers something.
