Of course, it is also possible that these rumours are just another round in the blame game between London and European capitals. But there have been multiple signs that talks between EU and Britain have led nowhere. This attitude is startling given the enormous costs of Brexit both on Britain and EU. But sadly it seems that politicians (especially on EU side) seem to prefer political goals to economic ones.
