Chipmaker TSMC increased profit by 69 percent to a record, beat estimates

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC), the world’s largest manufacturer of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) chips, increased its net profit by 69 percent year-on-year in the third quarter to a record 763.1 billion Taiwanese dollars (TWD; 513 billion CZK). The company announced this today in a press release. The firm is benefiting from sharply rising global demand for its AI processors. The result surpassed analysts’ estimates.
