The US investment bank Goldman Sachs is another in a series of large banks that takes cryptocurrency assets seriously. It intends to offer its clients investments in Bitcoin in a wide range of products.
Goldman Sachs has confirmed in a current memorandum that it will also start offering its private clients investments in cryptocurrencies, especially in Bitcoin. To this end, the bank has even appointed Mary Rich as head of the digital assets division. At the moment, her task will be to educate private clients on cryptocurrency investments and how blockchain technology works and what it is actually useful for.
“We work closely with teams across the bank to find out how best to reach our clients and offer them the right insight into the entire ecosystem. We expect that in the near future we will be able to provide services in this area, “said Rich in an interview with CNBC.
The US investment bank Goldman Sachs is not the first large banking house to offer clients cryptocurrency investment instruments. Recently, information has emerged that a similar move is being taken by Germany’s largest bank, Deutsche Bank.
