European stocks welcomed the new year by setting a new record. Apple broke $ 3 trillion

The pan-European stock index started trading in 2022 by rising to a new record. He also managed to close at the highest level in history, when he exceeded the current maximum of November 17 last year by only four hundredths of a point.

European stocks entered 2022 in style. The pan-European stock index Stoxx 600 strengthened to the highest level in its history to 491.4 points. Although it closed Monday’s trading just below 490 points, it managed to add less than half a percent compared to the last trading day last year.

The shares of Lufthansa airline performed the most, strengthening by almost nine percent. Shares of Auto1 Group SE closed 8.5 percent higher. Shares of banking companies or car manufacturers also rose.

New Year’s trading also began on Wall Street in the new year. All major indices of the New York Stock Exchange strengthened on Monday. Shares of the technology company Apple rose for the first time at a level at which Apple’s market value reached $ 3 trillion. Apple got over a trillion in August 2018, beating two trillion last March after less than two years. It took just over 10 months to break Apple’s third trillion dollars.
