Mexican businessman Carlos Slim Helú was one of the richest personalities in the world in 2014.  He currently runs the telecommunications companies Telmex, Telcel and América Móvil (the largest telecommunications company in Latin America). Although his business remained stable during the pandemic, the net fortune of this billionaire eventually fell by 26% at the end of March to its lowest level. Although the currency has recovered, the stock value is now around 5% lower than it was at the end of 2019. After the decline of about $5 billion, Carlos Helú’s current net worth is around $58.2 billion.
