Crypto: Intercontinental Exchange launched bitcoin futures contracts this Sunday

Bakkt, company backed by Intercontinental Exchange, BCG and Microsoft started selling bitcoin futures contracts.

The first trade happened on Monday morning at price of $10 115. Bakkt bitcoin futures are a unique investment tool because they are physically deliverable. That means that they are paid out in bitcoin at a set date of settlement. Which is a major difference from competitors.

Bakkt, according to their vision, aims to enable people around the globe to and invest in cryptocurrencies and to make paying with crypto as easy as possible. Volatility of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies harms its reputation alongside numerous scams. Federally regulated Bakkt backed by Intercontinental Exchange might be exactly what cryptocurrencies need in terms of increasing trust among investors.
