Aunque Erste es una entidad bastante veterana y experimentada, fundada en 1819 en un suburbio del centro de Viena, la empresa es un nuevo actor en el ferozmente competitivo sector financiero actual.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aprovechando la desaparici\u00f3n del comunismo, la empresa se extendi\u00f3 pacientemente por Europa Central y Oriental para dividirse en 2008 en dos entidades, una de las cuales es el exitoso Erste Group Bank AG que conocemos hoy y que tiene una notable presencia en Austria, Ruman\u00eda, Eslovaquia, Moldavia, Serbia, Montenegro, Croacia, Hungr\u00eda y la Rep\u00fablica Checa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Con una capitalizaci\u00f3n burs\u00e1til de m\u00e1s de 13.460 millones de d\u00f3lares a mediados de marzo de 2023, Erste Group Bank experiment\u00f3 un enorme crecimiento en el \u00faltimo trimestre de 2022; tuvo un a\u00f1o fuerte en general, benefici\u00e1ndose del aumento de la demanda de cr\u00e9dito y la subida de los tipos de inter\u00e9s en los mercados regionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cuando los mercados y los inversores parec\u00edan <a href=\"https:\/\/trader-magazine.com\/business\/travel-and-tourism-industry-fully-recovering-to-pre-covid-19-levels-revenues-to-grow-by-20-yoy-to-852b-in-2023\/\">recuperarse<\/a> de las presiones inflacionistas, geopol\u00edticas y sentimentales del a\u00f1o pasado, Erste Group ha entrado en marzo en una nueva c\u00fapula de desmoronamiento. La quiebra del Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) y de otros bancos aument\u00f3 la preocupaci\u00f3n por la propagaci\u00f3n de las crisis financieras a distintas regiones del mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00bfSe recuperar\u00e1 Erste Group del pesimismo del mercado alimentado por el contagio?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Resultados recientes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La financiera present\u00f3 sus resultados del cuarto trimestre fiscal a finales de febrero:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Beneficio neto<\/strong>: 518 millones de euros &#8211; +1,5% interanual<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Margen de inter\u00e9s neto<\/strong>: 2,25% &#8211; +8% interanual<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Relaci\u00f3n costes\/ingresos<\/strong>: 51,9% &#8211; &#8211; 10% interanual<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Erste Group super\u00f3 sus resultados del cuarto trimestre fiscal de 2021, generando mayores beneficios al tiempo que reduc\u00eda costes en medio de un s\u00f3lido negocio corporativo y un crecimiento de los dep\u00f3sitos de clientes a lo largo de 2022. En los \u00faltimos meses, la Reserva Federal de Estados Unidos, el <a href=\"https:\/\/trader-magazine.com\/es\/news\/las-senales-de-halcon-del-bce-provocaron-el-fortalecimiento-del-euro\/\">Banco Central<\/a> Europeo (BCE) y otros grandes bancos centrales flexibilizaron sus pol\u00edticas monetarias subiendo los tipos de inter\u00e9s en m\u00e1rgenes menores, o no subi\u00e9ndolos en absoluto, para combatir la inflaci\u00f3n generalizada por las nubes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tras la publicaci\u00f3n de los brillantes resultados, la empresa sigui\u00f3 obteniendo una mayor valoraci\u00f3n a medida que los mercados se calmaban, pero la quiebra de Silicon Valley Bank marc\u00f3 el inicio de otra recesi\u00f3n no s\u00f3lo para Erste Group, sino para los sectores bancario y financiero en general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tras la ca\u00edda de los dep\u00f3sitos y los elevados tipos de inter\u00e9s, SVB no tuvo m\u00e1s remedio que vender valores para reajustar su cartera, lo que repercuti\u00f3 en otros bancos, como Signature Bank, Silvergate bank y First Republic Bank.
